What is it?

Clay Fest West Texas is a premier ceramic arts festival starting this year to be held annually in San Angelo, Texas, designed to celebrate and elevate ceramic artists while positioning the city as a national destination for ceramic arts scheduled along side Ceramic Weekend and in collaboration with the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, Angelo State University, and The Chicken Farm Art Center.

​The mission of Clay Fest West Texas is to provide ceramic artists with a high-visibility platform to showcase and sell their work while fostering meaningful engagement between artists, collectors, and the community. By creating a focused, professionally curated ceramic festival, Clay Fest West supports artists, strengthens the regional arts economy, and enhances San Angelo’s cultural identity.

Why do it?

Clay Fest West Texas is strategically scheduled alongside San Angelo’s established Ceramic Weekend, which already draws artists and educators from across North America. The festival expands this momentum by adding a public-facing component that increases accessibility, visibility, and community participation in ceramic arts programming and opportunities.
